Why Do We Stick Our Head in the Sand?

We can debate till we are blue in the face whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not.

Literally thousands of posts on social media discussing it.

Does it really matter?

If you like it, eat it. If you don’t, then don’t eat it.

We spend time on this kind of rubbish and stick our heads in the sand about more important issues.

Instead of sharing whether pineapple belongs on pizza, let’s talk about the important stuff.

• Abortion and human rights.
• Job security.
• Minimum wages.
• Not having a wannabe dictator and convicted felon even being allowed to run for president.
• School shootings — People don’t blink twice anymore because they have become the norm.
• Unity
• Racism.

I could go on….. so many more issues that we could be talking about and sharing posts about on social media other than whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza.

Oh, and I love pineapple on pizza.
